Machakos deputy governor has said that talks between President William Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga should be of benefit to the Country’s citizens.
Speaking during a church service at Machakos Cathedral, Francis Mwangangi urged the President to address grievances raised by Kenya citizens and not those of political leaders.
“Economy is hurting and it needs immediate intervention. Before we discuss anything in the talks between the President and Azimio leader, let the interests of all citizens be at the forefront.” He said.
He encouraged the faithful to pray for the country before he recalled in 2002 when the late President Mwai Kibaki was elected saying that Kenyans were almost hopeless but Kibaki liberalized the country spurring rapid economic growth in his first term.
“Kibaki represented a fresh start for the country during in his first term. Things might be hard now but a time is coming and everything will stabilize.” He said.
