Machakos Dg urges traders to pay for licenses as the County deploys trade personnels to wards

Machakos County government has deployed trade personnels in every 40 wards to ensure revenue collection was well managed and regulated.

Speaking during a meeting with the revenue collection team, Machakos deputy governor Francis Mwangangi said that the revenue collection team was going to coordinate with traders to ensure licenses were fully paid.

“We have enough manpower that will help and enable our Governor deliver services to the people of Machakos. We have businesses that have been in operation but they do not pay for licenses.” He said.

Mr. Mwangangi said almost half of the businesses transacted within the county came from out of the county.

“In every 40 wards in the county, through our revenue collection team we will be able to know the businesses that are being conducted and as well know what really affects our businesses. That will enable our government to come up with ways of solving the problems our businesses face.” He said.

He encouraged all businesses that are carried within the county to pay for licenses to ease delivery of services in the county.
