Machakos deputy governor has said that through the leadership of Machakos County governor, the County was ready to work with the leadership of Machakos University.

Speaking during Machakos University Vice Chancellor’s breakfast meeting, Francis Mwangangi said that governor Wavinya Ndeti was confident with the institution led by VC Professor Joyce Agalo.

“Embu, Eldoret and Nairobi towns are growing because they have public and private Universities around them. We are going to work with Machakos University because we are no exception.” He said.

Mwangangi pointed out that the leaders elected reflected who voted for them while saying that leaders in the Ukambani region needed to come together and find a solution for growth of institutions within the area.

“It is possible if as a County and a region we sat down and approached the President asking for funds to transform Machakos University so that we can grow like other regions. We all know the President loves our Country and more so, Machakos County.” He said.
