Wavinya vows to upset critics as she defends record

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has vowed she will not be distracted by naysayers in her quest to deliver development for the county residents.

Addressing the faithful while attending a Sunday Mass at St.Jude catholic church in Athiriver, the governor said her efforts to serve the electorate will not be dampened by political opponents who are out to malign her name.

“I am telling those who have been trolling me on social media spreading malicious falsehoods that I am answerable to God. My record speaks for itself as I was once rated the best MP in utilization of public funds,” she said.

The governor also cited a recent ranking by the World Bank where she was awarded for exemplary performance in financial management and project implementation.

She said her Government will soon flood the entire county with numerous projects including enhanced water supply, issuance of land title deeds, construction and equipping of health facilities as well as construction of sports stadia.

Deputy Governor, Francis Mwangangi lamented over delays in exchequer disbursement to counties, saying it has led to paralysis of key services.
