Public service vehicles and other motorists have been urged to exercise caution as they ply various routes during the festive season.
Speaking during the disbursement of Ksh. 20.34 Million for development projects at Tawa social hall, Mbooni Mp Kivasu Nzioka encouraged motorists to drive responsibly in order to avoid road fatalities.
“As we go through this festive season our message is that there are going to be a lot of motorists so I want to advise our drivers to be extra careful and to be mindful of other road users and to reduce speed while on the roads and avoid over speeding.” He said.
Kivasu encouraged Kenyans to extend a helping hand in spreading joy and love to the less privileged.
After the issuance of the cheques for 20 projects within the constituency, he called on project Management Committees (PMCs) to ensure the resources were utilized effectively.
“This initiative demonstrates our unwavering commitment to improving the quality of education and enhancing the overall infrastructure in Mbooni. We expect the PMCs to adhere strictly to the guidelines and make every shilling count.” Kivasu said.
