Stop careless talk and insults – Yatta Mp tells leaders

Yatta Mp Robert Basil has urged leaders to stop politicking and focus on implementing development agendas.

Speaking during the commissioning of Kateki village rural electrification and launching of Miwani village rural electrification in Yatta constituency, he said that leaders should focus on fulfilling the pledges they made to Kenyans.

“I want to tell the people interested in pursuing elective positions this is not the right time. It is not time for politicking and hurling insults.” He said.

He said that the rural electrification was going to improve the quality of life for people living in rural areas.

“With electricity in this area we are going to increase entrepreneurial activities, it will extend out business hours for small businesses like welding and salons. Our students in schools will also increase study time and improve study environments.” He said.

The legislator said that his administration had several projects underway including opening of lands offices and Huduma center offices in Yatta constituency.
