Machakos Governor meets AFTV Founder Robbie Lyle

Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti hosted the founder of popular Arsenal Fan TV (AFTV) Robbie Lyle at her Machakos office on Thursday.

Speaking during the meeting, Governor Wavinya described the visit as a symbol of hope, inspiration and the power sports to transform lives.

“You have shown the world that passion can become purpose and that football isn’t just a game but  bridge between generations, communities, nations and continents.” She said.

Governor Wavinya reiterated her administration’s commitment to nurturing talent across the county.

“In Machakos we believe in giving our youth every opportunity to achieve their dreams. By joining us today you are not only validating the dreams but also fueling them and showing them that they are capable of achieving what they hope for and desire in the future.” Governor Wavinya said.

Speaking on the upcoming Governor’s Cup, she noted that this year’s tournament is expected to be the biggest yet, with over 650 teams set to participate.

Lyle said that he was looking forward to partnering with the County initiatives.

“I feel that I was saying earlier that my daughter’s name is Kenya, so it seems only natural that I should be here in Kenya and I should be partnering with your great initiatives.” He said.

Lyle said that his start was like a one man band and now he has turned into something global.

“This is something that anybody here or anybody in this region can’t do and we want to be able to help people realize that through this partnership and I’m really looking forward to it.” He said.
