The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has unveiled its candidate for the Mumbuni North Member of County Assembly in a colorful ceremony presided by UDA National Organizing Secretary Vincent Musyoka.
Musyoka who is also the Mwala MP declared that the candidate Misi Mutua had the backing of State House to deliver the seat to UDA.
Speaking during the ceremony at Kisooni Catholic church grounds in Mumbuni North on Thursday, Mr Musyoka said time had come for Mumbuni North residents to embrace development politics and shun empty promises.
He said there was no reason why the people should vote for an opposition candidate.
“I Urge the people of Mimbuni North Ward to turn up in large numbers on 27th November 2025 and elect Misi Mutua as your new MCA,” said Musyoka.
He added that before UDA settled on Misi Mutua they looked and relooked at the opinion polls of Mumbuni North Ward Voters and they unanimously settled on Misi Mutua.
On his part The Aspirant Misi Mutua called on Mumbuni North Ward voters to stay in Government and enjoy countless development projects.
He assured them that his focus will be on education and the skilling of the youth for self employment, improving of Agricultural production and enhancing of Electricity connectivity and Water supply.
Job Nyumu who was also Vying for Mumbuni North, stepped down in favour of Misi Mutua of UDA.
Five Candidates have formally declared their interests, setting the stage for a grueling battle.
The race is seen as an acid test for the dominant Wiper Patriotic Front candidate who will gauge the party influence in the region barely two years to the general election.
Other candidates are Anthony Kisoi (Wiper), Naomi Nzioka (Independent) and Harrison Wambua (Maendeleo Chap Chap).
