Machakos Deputy Governor criticizes Kenya Kwanza administration for undermining devolution

Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has taken a firm stand against the Kenya Kwanza administration accusing it of undermining the promises of devolution in Kenya.

Speaking during a church service at A.I.C Kariobagi in Machakos town,  Mwangangi said that healthcare sector has been severely impacted by policies enacted under the Kenya Kwanza leadership.

“Many hospitals are currently grappling with a severe shortage of medicine because of the national government’s negligence. You must fix healthcare.” He said.

The deputy governor faulted the current administration for the rising costs associated with education.

“The increase in school fees is placing an additional burden on families already struggling to make ends meet. Education is a right for all children and the government should reconsider its stance on funding to ensure that access to quality education is not hindered by financial constraints.” Mwangangi said.

Mwangangi also offered a word of caution regarding road safety during this busy period where increased traffic is expected.

“We must be vigilant and prioritize safety on our roads during the celebrations.” He said.
