Governor Wavinya addresses Matuu residents on road development and healthcare enhancements

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reassured residents of Matuu about the ongoing road construction initiatives and the state of healthcare facilities.

Addressing faithful during a church service at Kithimani Salvation Army, governor Wavinya made it clear that misinformation about fuel shortages for the recently launched thirteen tractors would not be tolerated.

“Every ward has fuel for the tractors. Ward administrators have the fuel cards that have been topped with Sh. 750,000.” She said.

The governor expressed her frustration with past expenditures on repairs for old tractors saying that the financial burden was unnecessary.

“Repairing the already existing tractors in the county was expensive, so we chose to invest in new machinery.” She said.

Governor Wavinya also took a strong stance against water cartels in Matuu revealing that certain entities had been evading payment of their water bills to exploit the community by selling water with bowsers.

Healthcare also took center stage as she informed residents that the Matuu Level Five Hospital was nearing completion and will soon be operational.

“Next month, the hospital will be operational with all required equipment. You will not need to travel long distances to seek medication anymore.” Said governor Wavinya.

The governor urged the Kamba community to unite behind Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka in his presidential bid.

During the church service, the governor also witnessed the retirement of lieutenant colonels Simon Mbuthu and Zipporah Mbuthu.

Governor Wavinya was accompanied by Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu, former Yatta MP Charles Kilonzo and a section of Machakos County Assembly MCAs.
